The role of a Production Designer is a role hard to define in the film industry, and one that often goes un-credited. But like with most jobs fame and fortune is not what it's about. What drives me as a production designer is the hands on role of creating a believable world where everything seen on screen is there for a reason or has a purpose, it's the biggest possible playground there is!

I was always one of those kids that found more entertainment from the cardboard box and my imagination, rather than the plastic toy it once contained. I was an easy kid to please some might say.

At college I did A levels in graphics and product design alongside media and film studies which lead me to end up at Hull School of Art and Design (Offshoot of Lincoln University) doing BA (Hons) TV and Film Design where not only did I have the best three years of my life so far I also found my calling in production design. To say I had never even held a Mini DV camera before that point three years ago I'm not doing too badly and will be graduating in September.
